Fido
Somewhat gory scenes, nothing as bad as night of the living dead or a Texas chainsaw masssuer but definitely not something you’d see in leave it to Beaver. And rated PG-13 by the MPAA but then rated R for sequences of zombie violence and gore, and comic horror situations.
Fido is not a dog movie it’s a zombie movie but it’s told like a dog story. The story is set in a world a 1950s-esque where radiation from a space mentors came crashing down causing dead things to come to life as zombies. But scientist invented a color that when put on the zombie’s neck will make them less freating and they can be used as slaves. Fido is a zombie servert for a family in the town of Willard, (reference to the town in Night of the Living Dead,) who son Timmy is symmetric to zombie’s. Timmy takes good care of Fido, walking him, playing catch with him. But when Fido color goes wacko and he eats a mean neighbor trouble starts. Not wanting Fido to get in trouble Timmy has to kill the now zobyfied nag bore and bury her in the park. Unfortunately this is after she had already acted several other people starting a zombie pledge. To help give Timmy advices on zombie handling is there horny neighbor (think quagmire from family guy) who’s married to his sexy blond zombie wife. Who’s basically a sex slave? Timmy mom Helen Robinson does not approve of this as most of the town does but threw out the film we see he really does care about his zombie wife. Helen also warms up to Fido and them both Cleary shows feeling for each other. Timmy Dad Bill is of course not to happy about that hating all zombies because his dad turned into one and tried to eat him. The covers a turn off because it shows Fido looking menacing like a typical zombie movie, Fido also looks bald for some reason. But once you watch it you see its all comedies.
