9 (a movie) what exactly is 9 about? Think" WallE” and toy story meets the "Terminator ". This is an animated action film produced by Tim Burton. The film is set in the future after a war that killed off most likely all the humans. Oddly enough even though this war happens in the fucher it looks like it happed in war war two because of all the old cares. The war was started when a political figure, known only as "The Chancellor (think a notes crossed with a commutes) in an attempt to restart the economy, “announced that the 'way to the future of peaces' is through science and technology. Sounds familiar? Didn’t they try that in "WallE"and ‘Terminator? The maches don’t look so peaceful with those guns pointed at you. One Scientist (known only as The Scientist) was forced to develop the B.R.A.I.N. A machine, designed to create other machines. Soon after it was discovered that Chancellor’s true intentions on making the B.R.A.I.N. was to use it as a weapon of war. The Chancellor forced the Fabrication Machine to work so hard that the machine started to destroy anything that lived. Doesn't that sound like something out of 'Terminator'? The Scientist who invited the machine trying to make things right has also dabbled in alchemy and created a device used to transfer part of his soul into nine ragdolls. The ragdolls are achily robots to but with a dolls body, and scinces they have a sole they there the good guys. He did this in the hops that the dolls will defeat the evil robots and succeed were humans have failed. The dolls are creepy but lovable at the same time (similar to "WallE") especially with those big goggle eyes that creepy you out but also show a lot of personality. There eyes appear to work like a camera lenses giving the emprstion they have pulse.
The story starts out the 9 watching up in the scinst offices and trying to help the other rag dolls fight the evil machines who wish to destroy them all. The new matching made by the Brain are made from Radom bits of garbage, like an old doll head, a fan, thread, they are scarier then the original matching that all looked alike from something out of world of the Wolds. This is most likely becies with the world in ruins the Brain is just uses what ever parts it can find. The scariest matching has a dolls head and uses bright light to blind the other then swales them like a snake.
They each have their own unique personality. The dolls are: ▪9-Elijah Wood the main character. A good-hearted and curious fellow, he is caring and brave and more then willing to risk his life to save others. He has a zipper on his front which can be unzipped and used has a pocket. ▪8- Fred Tatasciore a bully and the biggest doll in the group and 1's personal bodyguard. He kind of looks like the bad guy in nightmare before crismas. He has two weapons, half a pair of scissors and a kitchen knife that he used as a sword. He also has a magnet that he likes to stick on his head to give him a loopy feeling. If you ever wondered how a robot can get high this is apertly how, but he only does this when he’s alone -7- Jennifer Connelly a rebel and a loner, she is the only girl in the rage doll group (unless you count 3, 4) and the best fighter. She’s white because her color has been bleached away by the sun since she spends so much time outside. She uses a blade mounted on a long staff for fighting, and wears a bird-skull helmet that gives her a nave American stile. She cares about the other dolls safety but clearly dislikes 1 because of his selfshness▪6- Crispin Glover, a wild artist who has visions of the future, channeling his visions through drawings; his hands are made of ink tip pines, ▪5- John C. Reilly as a healer, tutor, and skilled mechanic engineer and inventor. He is missing his left eye, which lost in a previous robot attack. He is very close to 2 and has buttons on his front. 3 and 4, curious but shy twin dolls. The two cutest and most colorful dolls in the group. They are both unable talk and use there eyes to make flickering lights to communicate with each other. When they need to talk to anyone else their eyes turn into film projectors. It’s unclear whether there two boys or two girl, its left up to the adunces imitation. Both wear hoods and seem to be made out of a pair of old pajamas or garding gloves. ▪2- Martin Landau as, a kind, delicate old inventor like the scientist. He’s invited useful things from garbage; and explores the wastelands to look for parts for his inventions. Skin is fastened with many knotted strings.▪ 1 Christopher Plummer the oldest and only truly selfish of the dolls, and their self-proclaimed leader. Were the other dolls showing real concern for each other he only cares about himself, but he redeems himself in the end. He’s got the personally of an old grump man His skin is fastened by many metal snaps and where’s a bucket on his head as a crown.
As the creates say this is not your little brother cartoon movey. This defiantly isn’t Disney so it’s not for very young kids, this movie makes Coralline look like a day with the Care Bears. But older kids and adult who enjoy a lot of action and fasting charters will love it. I sure did. I think it’s the most original film IV seen all year.
